RV Escape Window with added handhold

RV Escape Window with added handhold, we are both now over 60 and felt this would be a good addition.  The base of the window is about 6 feet above the ground.  Here is a photo of our ladder the loop for a hand hold secured to the ladder and our back escape window.

I used a water knot that I learned from my old rock climbing days.  I used a 6 foot dog leash and tied off the rest for future uses.

Below you can see my arm reaching out through our emergency window.  Once you have your hand through the loop you should be able to hold on while you pull your self through the window.

We also keep a fire extinguisher above the escape window and put an additional CO2 and smoke detector in our bedroom.
