On the stove top skillet bread

On the stove top easy skillet bread.

I make my skillet bread in a 5 inch cast iron skillet.  One cup of self rising flour and water, mix well and roll out on a floured board shape into a round about the size of the skillet.  Heat up the skillet with oil or grease to medium or medium high.  Place dough in pan and watch so you do not burn and flip as it starts turning golden brown on the bottom.  Repeat on the other side and then serve with butter.  You can make two thinner flat skillet breads with this mix and they will cook quicker.

We eat half and set the other half back in the skillet foe a photo.

I turned it out on a board and paper towel and started cutting so we could butter and enjoy.  Please note the bread cut up is not the thickness, I made strips then laid them on their side and cut them in half for the butter.  A close look at the pieces you can see the air bubbles in the bread.
